The 15th day of the 7th month of the Hebrew calendar – 5 days after Atonement.

(Leviticus 23:33-36/Deuteronomy 16:13-17)

(Usually late September / beginning October.)

This greatest of all feasts was celebrated after harvesting the crops of the land.
