Dan 6:16  Then the king commanded, and Daniel was brought and cast into the den of lions. The king declared to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, deliver you!”

And

Dan 6:26  I make a decree, that in all my royal dominion people are to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for he is the living God, enduring forever; his kingdom shall never be destroyed, and his dominion shall be to the end.

Initially Darius was a spectator; yes, acknowledging Daniel’s God, but not accepting His Lordship for himself. Then, when the power of God was demonstrated, he could only cry out in acknowledgement of His Lordship over all the earth.

We are the ‘Daniels’ of this generation. We have the spirit of the living God within us and we must live out our faith in ‘the Babylon’ of worldliness and unbelief because others are observing. They may even ask us to pray for them, needing healing, provision and so on, which as we often see, leads to salvation when those prayers are answered!

Jesus’ teaching was accompanied by signs and wonders so that people had to acknowledge Him as Lord. We must not be afraid to walk in this fullness of His Spirit. We must believe and not shrink back, expecting that God will meet the person in their place of need so that they can respond to His love!

May Jesus be glorified even now in this sin sick, disbelieving world…. May we truly be His Hands and feet….

God bless you!
